On Thursday, the Raiders went viral after players were seen mocking the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback at training camp.

Over the years, it has been frequently suggested that Mahomes sounds like Kermit The Frog.

The Raiders opted to take this joke up a notch when somebody brought with them a Kermit puppet to camp.

The puppet had been customized to include Mahomes’ jersey and hair similar to his.

The clip of Raiders players laughing while defensive back Trey Taylor put the puppet on his hand quickly made the rounds on X.

Now, the three-time Super Bowl-winning signal-caller has responded in what could prove to be a chilling warning to his AFC West rivals.

“It’s still early in the year. Stuff like that happens,” Mahomes told reporters.

“It’ll get handled when it gets handled.”

Mahomes’ short but sweet comment drew plenty of responses from fans on X, many of whom felt this was a bad omen for Las Vegas.

“600-yard game incoming,” one fan suggested.

“RIP Raiders,” commented a second.

“He did not seem amused,” said another.

While a fourth added, “I mean it’s the Raiders they were going to lose by 2 scores anyway maybe it’s 3 now?”

Along with Mahomes, head coach Andy Reid also chimed in on the clip.

Asked if it was “a smart idea to fire up Patrick Mahomes,” Reid told CBS, “I’d probably say, not.”

“We don’t spend a lot of time here with puppets. We try to do our work and try to get better. That’s the important thing.”

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce was also asked about the incident on Friday, telling reporters the issue had been “addressed as a team.”

“We nipped it in the bud. It’s over with,” he went on to add.

Since taking over as Kansas City’s starter in 2018, Mahomes has gone 10-2 against Las Vegas.

Four of those wins saw the Chiefs score over 40 points.

The Chiefs and Raiders are scheduled to meet on October 27 at Allegiant Stadium.

They will then play at Arrowhead Stadium on November 29.
