Nicole Kidman is opening up about one of the most notorious chapters in her life. The Australian actress has shed a light on her relationship and marriage with Tom Cruise, whom she was with for over a decade.

er finishing in second place on The Voice, 29-year-old Thunderstorm Artis shared the news on his Instagram account in a Feb. 8 post that he was returning to reality TV and auditioning for American Idol.

The post, which showed him, his wife Faith and their baby in front of a giant-sized Idol promotion. The caption read, “Well I guess I should let this cat out of the bag… Tune in March 9th to see if I made it through my audition on American Idol.”

And he received a response from the official American Idol account, saying, “Storm front comin’! 🙌 Ready for you!”

The Oahu native is making it just under the wire to audition for American Idol. The ABC singing competition’s age restrictions say the contestants must be aged 15 and no older than 29 at the time of the audition. Now, he just needs Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan to give him the same warm reception he received on The Voice and be awarded a Golden Ticket to Hollywood.

Thunderstorm was on Season 18 of The Voice and got all four coaches– Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend, and Blake Shelton–to turn for his acoustic cover of The Beatles’ “Blackbird.” He ultimately went with Team Legend, but later was stolen by Nick Jonas. The former Jonas Brother took him all the way to the finale, where he finished runner-up to winner Todd Tilghman of Team Blake.

Since The Voice, Thunderstorm has shared stages with artists like Jack Johnson and the Zac Brown Band, evening opening for Train in 2023. He’s also released the songs “Stronger” (featured on the Season 19 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy), “Surprise,” Standup Eight,” and “Take it Slow”

He inherited his love of music from his late father Ron, a session musician who played keyboards on Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
