Liam Payne died at the age of 31 on Wednesday 16 October 2024 under tragic circumstances. A few years ago, the British singer spoke of his fortune and the person who is set to inherit it.

Ever since their formation on the set of the X Factor in the early 2010s, the One Direction boys were certainly the most adored singers in the world. Today, Directioners – who are still standing by their favourite band’s side, even in the most difficult times – are mourning the tragic passing of Liam Payne, along with a part of their childhood.

The 31-year-old singer died after falling from the balcony of his third-floor hotel room in Argentina, on 16 October 2024. The news was particularly difficult for his family, who issued a statement expressing their grief. It was also difficult for the singer’s bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and especially Louis Tomlinson, who posted a heartbreaking tribute on his Instagram account, mentioning Liam’s son, Bear:

I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me I will be the Uncle he needs in his life and tell him stories of how amazing his dad was.

All the other boys also posted tributes on their Instagram accounts, giving the devastated fans permission to grieve. They also published a joint statement on the band’s official page, something they had not done since Zayn Malik left the band in 2015.

Liam Payne, who owned a property in Malibu, in the United States, and another in Surrey, in the south-east of England, explained a few years ago that his son would inherit his fortune. While speaking with influencer Logan Paul on the Impaulsive podcast, which was a controversial interview, Liam talked about his son as the person who would inherit his money.

My life is his, my money is for him. I have several businesses that he could run one day if he wanted to. If not, he can sell them.

Details of Liam Payne’s will have not yet been revealed, as the world is getting ready to say their final goodbye. Fans have been urged not to attend the funeral, to allow the family and the singer’s bandmates to mourn in private.
