Watch Parker McCollum, Carrie Underwood, and the ‘Toby Keith: American Icon’ Star Lineup Sing “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue

Back in July, some of the biggest names in country music gathered at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to record Toby Keith: American Icon. The tribute concert saw artists singing some of their favorite songs from Keith’s deep catalog to honor the late superstar. The star-studded lineup included Carrie Underwood, Ashley McBryde, Jelly Roll, Parker McCollum, and many more.

American Icon will air tonight (August 28) at 9 Eastern Time on NBC. For those who can’t tune in tonight, it will be available to stream on-demand on Peacock starting tomorrow morning. The two-hour tribute special will feature many memorable performances. One of the high points of the night came when McCollum led the entire lineup in a rousing rendition of “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)” to close the show.

In the video above, McCollum sings through the first half of the song while Underwood and the rest of the lineup sing along from the wings. Then, just before the song’s final verses, they file out onto the stage to take their places. They did so just in time to properly help McCollum belt out the track’s most memorable lines.

The country stars gathered for the tribute concert weren’t the only ones on the stage, though. Keith’s family was there as well. His wife Tricia and their children Stelen, Krystal, and Shelley were onstage alongside the stars, singing along to the 2002 chart-topper.
