American Idol season 20 finalist Fritz Hager captivated the audience when he competed in the singing competition show in 2022, and he’s been busy with many exciting things ever since. Fritz, a then-21-year-old singer from Tyler, Texas, worked as a security officer before he left his job to pursue music. He made it to the Top 5 of American Idol season 20, along with Nicolina. They were eliminated just before the Top 3, which consisted of third place finisher Leah Marlene, runner-up HunterGirl, and winner Noah Thompson.

During American Idol season 20, Fritz wowed everyone with his extraordinary emotional performances. After the success of his single, “Hearts Align,” which was released during American Idol, Fritz has continued to release his original music. They include the songs “Caroline,” “Two Step,” and “Bad Friend,” which are available on streaming services such as Spotify. Fritz also released a self-titled EP in 2022.

After American Idol season 20 ended, Fritz won the Live with Kelly & Ryan‘s American Idol Encore contest. Fans voted for him to sing live on the show. Fritz also performed in many concerts, including a show in August 2022, in which he opened for Leah in her hometown of Normal, Illinois. Fritz and Leah became close friends during their time on the show.

In October 2022, Fritz was part of the Don’t Blink Tour, which also featured American Idol season 18 alums Jonny West and Francisco Martin, and season 20’s Allegra Miles. In a June 2024 Instagram post, Fritz announced that he’ll be opening for Leah again at a concert in Bloomington, Illinois on September 7, 2024.

Since American Idol season 19 ended, Fritz has been giving fans the gift of his music, both recorded and live. He always makes an effort to keep his fans up to date through his Instagram page, and he kindly expresses his appreciation for their support.
