The Maleficent star’s lawyers filed a motion in the ongoing case earlier in the week.

Amidst his legal battle with his ex, Brad Pitt is finding solace with Ines de Ramon after the Angelina Jolie news emerged. de Ramon has been heavily supportive of her partner’s legal battles with his ex-wife.

Days after his ex-wife filed a motion seeking more communications for their lengthy legal battles, Brad Pitt “finally feels happy again” with de Ramon “by his side,” a source told People. “Although he’s always been surrounded by trusted friends, he still had years when he felt very lonely. Sharing his life and living with Ines now makes him very happy. Ines is great. She doesn’t come with any baggage and is able to just support him.”

Other friends close to Pitt told the site that they “just [want] him to be happy. He’s certainly not perfect. He’ll be the first to tell you. [But] he will continue to push back legally.”

On April 4, the Maleficent actress’s lawyers filed a motion seeking to release communications they say would prove Pitt would not let Jolie sell her share of the winery to him. Jolie’s lawyers further claimed Pitt refused the deal unless it came with the NDA and suggest the actor feared that sealed documents included in their separate, years-long custody battle could be made public without the NDA.

“Jolie’s sealed filing, which included emails, summaries of the family’s expected testimony and other evidence, caused Pitt to fear that the information could eventually become public,” her lawyers write in court documents obtained by People. It further read that Jolie did not want to “contractually bind herself to that silence” about his alleged “personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not.”

“While Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well. Jolie then immediately left him,” the filing continued. “Pitt’s unyielding attempts to control and punish Jolie continue to take a huge emotional and financial toll on her and their family. Jolie longs for their family to be able to heal and their children to be spared further pain and trauma, and truly wishes Pitt would want the same too.”

de Ramon and Pitt were first spotted backstage at a Bono concert in December 2022. A source confirmed the two dating at the time to Entertainment Tonight saying, “Brad and Ines recently started dating. Brad is enjoying spending time with Ines and getting to know her better,” one source says. “It is still new, but they are seeing where things go and like each other. They are having a good time together.” Another source added that “Brad and Ines are dating and things are new between them.” Another source told People at the timethat Brad “is clearly very into her given he brought her to his premiere.” referring to his Babylon premiere in Los Angeles.”

“Ines said that Brad is very sweet,” the source says, noting that the pair “are planning to spend New Year’s Eve together.” When rumors were still brewing of the couple’s status, a source also told Us Weekly at the time, “Brad is smitten with Ines, but they aren’t officially dating. They’ve been spending time together as friends and really enjoy each other’s company.”
