Who Is The Man In The Yellow Suit In From’s Season 3 Finale?

At the very end of From season 3, episode 10, a new supernatural figure in a yellow suit is introduced, and he appears to be the most menacing villain yet. Since the pilot episode, From’s nocturnal monsters have proven to be among the biggest threats in town, in large part because of how little was known about what exactly they were, what they wanted, and why they only attacked at night. From season 3’s ending has finally answered many of these questions, but the introduction of the man in yellow adds another layer to the evil mysteries in town.

In From season 3’s final moments, Jim returns to the Matthews family’s RV, only to find Julie yelling for him while ominously warning that this is “when it happens.” Given From season 3 confirmed time travel elements for Julie’s story, the fact that she suddenly appears with shorter hair and scratches on her face suggests she’s from the future, having already seen what comes next. Suddenly, in broad daylight, a man wearing a yellow suit walks up to Jim, tells him knowledge comes with a cost, and slits his throat, begging questions about the man’s identity and role in town.

The Man In The Yellow Suit Is Seemingly The Leader Of From’s Monsters

The Man In Yellow May Have Created The Monsters

From season 3 doesn’t confirm the identity of the man in the yellow suit. However, he appears to be the leader of the monsters, as he’s not only able to walk around in the daylight, which other monsters can’t do, but is also the one who punishes characters for having too much knowledge about the town. The man in yellow reveals to Jim that he was the one who called over the radio back in From’s season 1 finale, warning him that Tabitha “shouldn’t be digging that hole.”

Tabitha digging the hole led to her discovering the tunnels and many other secrets of From’s town, so the man in the yellow suit could be the supernatural “secret-keeper” of Fromville. His exact role hasn’t been disclosed, but he might be the one behind the creation of the town. The season 3 finale revealed that the monsters were once people who chose to sacrifice From’s “Anghkooey” children in exchange for eternal life, so the man in yellow could potentially be the supernatural being in charge who instigated the sacrifice.

If the man in the yellow suit is the leader of the town’s creatures, then he should already have higher powers than the others. This may allow him more freedom to act during the day and interact with characters through objects like the phone and radio. Considering From‘s benevolent Boy in White is another mysterious entity who can wander around during the daylight and communicate with the residents, the man in the yellow suit could potentially be the Boy in White’s antithesis, driving the location’s chaos and evils rather than trying to help.

He seemingly works from the shadows, only appearing when From’s characters come too close to discovering Fromville’s true nature. While Tabitha and Jade finally recovered their past-life memories, he likely spared them because of their role in the town’s cyclical nature, perhaps dooming them already in his eyes. Meanwhile, characters like Jim knowing too much is dangerous, as he could expose the facade to others not necessarily “touched” by Fromville’s supernatural powers. The man in yellow says “knowledge comes with a cost” before killing Jim, indicating he executes those posing the biggest threat to exposing From’s secrets.
