Yellowstone fans may struggle to recognise the lovable Jimmy Hurdstrom in the popular long-running drama Law and Order SVU.

Yellowstone’s Jimmy Hurdstrom star took on a very different role when he featured in Law and Order SVU almost a decade ago.

Ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom (played by Jefferson White) was a professional thief and drug cook before he made his way to Yellowstone and quickly became a fan-favourite.

It was in the final episode of the Paramount Network drama’s fourth series that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) gave Jimmy his blessing to start a new life away from the ranch.

Jimmy made his exit so he could start over again at the iconic 6666 ranch with his fiance Emily (Kathryn Kelly), with a spin-off reportedly still in the works.

But long before he donned a stetson, Jimmy actor Jefferson White popped up in a number of other well-known dramas.

From How To Get Away With Murder and Blue Bloods, to House of Cards and Elementary, the 34-year-old has been entertaining viewers since 2014 when he appeared in The Americans.

It was the following year though that White took on a role in NBC’s Law and Order SVU as a character called Gary in season 16’s Intimidation Game.

In the episode, a female video game developer suffers from a stream of online insults, intimidation and death threats from the male-dominated gaming community ahead of the launch of her first game.

A female employee is then assaulted at a gamer convention but nevertheless, the developer refuses to postpone the launch and it is up to the team to “level up” to protect her.

White is behind one of misogynistic cyber terrorists who throws abuse at the developer and her team.

White has very few lines in this episode but at one point reportedly calls out: “Go home gamer girl!”, in a bid to push the developer into stepping down.

The Yellowstone actor has come a long way since this minor role though, with two other projects now in the works, going by his IMDb page.

The first of which is called Caravan which is a comedy that sees a diabetic man hitch a ride from Brooklyn to Canada with his ex-girlfriend and his closest acquaintances to get life-saving insulin.

The second of the two projects will be a lot more familiar to many as it is a follow-up film to the action-horror franchise Hellboy.
