Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s third season, which introduces Lawless, has finally debuted but failed badly even in front of Concord.
There’s no denying the fact that Concord is the biggest flop of this generation, but it’s in tight competition with 2024’s other disaster- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. From the very second it was dropped upon us as a co-op live-service game, Kill the Justice League has failed to capture even the biggest DC fans out there.

Although the launch was nothing less than a tragedy, many expected an upward tick in the game’s popularity with future updates. However, things kept getting worse, and even Joker’s introduction couldn’t reignite interest among players. Now, Kill the Justice League has managed to hit another low with its Season 3, which has debuted with less than 300 players.Players Believe Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s Season 3 is a Failure

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s season 3 kicked off recently and brought the introduction of an alternative version of Deadshot’s daughter called “Lawless.” The introduction of Lawless should’ve been a perfect way to lure back gamers to Kill Justice League, but things haven’t gone according to plan.
According to the game’s SteamDB charts, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League only managed to hit an overall peak of 248 players when Season 3 debuted. What’s even worse is that at the time of this writing, the number has dropped to just 182 active players.
We don’t need to tell you that these numbers are quite bad for the launch of a live-service game’s latest season. Even Concord was ten times worse at launch but managed to hit a peak of 597 players. Although, Kill the Justice League’s number is probably higher on Xbox and PS5 since they do seem to have a player base.
After the disappointing launch of Suicide Squad’s latest season, the majority of players believe it’s time for companies to drop the live-service model and head back to the golden days of gaming.
Live service games need to cease existence. This should have been a single player or co-op game only
Even though Kill the Justice League‘s debut wasn’t a great one, the developers could’ve invested resources in marketing the game’s future updates to bring back players. Gamers weren’t even aware of season 3 of the game.
Well as someone who bought the game I didn’t even know about season 1 or 2 this is just bad marketing
Few believe the game’s failure can be solely attributed to developer Rocksteady and Warner Bros.’s decision to go “woke” with Kill the Justice League.
Get woke go broke
Some players suggest it’s time for Warner Bros. to pull the plug on the game and let it rest just like Sony did for Concord.
Kill that damn game already, what’s the point anymore?
One player can’t help but wonder why Rocksteady would bring Deadshot’s daughter to the same even though they have some of the most iconic DC villains in its catalog.
It’s so weird how they have access to the entire dc universe of villains and they decided the best possible choice is Deadshots daughter
While it’s sad to see that Rocksteady’s efforts to revive the game through various content additions aren’t working out, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that there’s simply no redemption for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
It would be a much better idea for Rocksteady and Warner Bros. to divert their resources to a game that caters to what gamers have been asking for for ages now. Otherwise, they might end up suffering from the same fate as Ubisoft.
Suicide Squad’s Failure has Led to Rocksteady Returning to Iconic IP

It’s not that Rocksteady can’t make good games; the studio gave us the iconic Batman: Arkham. After the disappointment of Kill the Justice, the League, the studio is now planning to head back to its roots.
On X/Twitter, XboxEra’s Shpeshal Nick revealed that he’s heard rumors that Rocksteady is returning to the Batman IP.
Not sure which studio people’s dream is, but I heard Rocksteady are back making it. I also think Sony are trying to moneyhat it lol https://t.co/EfcyRKWdZI

Rocksteady seems to be working on an entirely new Batman game, not a remaster or a remake of the Arkham series. What’s interesting is that Sony is attempting to secure the title as a PlayStation exclusive.
We still don’t have an official confirmation from Rocksteady on this rumor. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that this project proves to be the ticket for the studio to return to its glory days.
With that said, have you tried playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice‘s latest season? If so, let us know in the comments below.
