Asher HaVon has earned his flowers.
On Tuesday, May 21, HaVon was crowned the winner of season 25 of The Voice, securing a win for Team Reba on her second season.
“Asher had not sung for two years before the blind auditions and now has won it all,” host Carson Daly said.
HaVon took his crown after performing “On My Own” with his coach. The song was a hit for Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald in 1986.
The singer-songwriter beat out fellow Team Reba’s Josh Sanders, Team Dan + Shay’s Karen Waldrup and fellow Team Legend’s Nathan Chester and Bryan Olesen.
HaVon first wowed the coaches during his blind audition with his cover of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” He earned a three-chair turn.
“Asher what an incredible voice you have. Your range, your power, I couldn’t wait to turn around and see what you look like. And not disappointing at all. Way to go,” said Reba McEntire.
“I’m not gonna play with them man. I instantly turned around because I could tell you trying to win this competition and you should. Everything that you did was phenomenal. It was next-level. I was blown away by it,” said Chance the Rapper.

Speaking to PEOPLE earlier in the season, HaVon credited his successful journey on the show to authenticity.
“Always being the fullest version of myself when it comes to showing up,” HaVon said of what matters most to him. “A secret that is so loud yet can be looked over all the time.”
HaVon got his start singing in church and earned wider recognition in 2015 as choir leader who performed for President Barack Obama in Selma to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Selma Montgomery marches.
