Jodie Foster is one of the world’s most well-known and talented actors.

Unlike many other film stars, she refuses to change her appearance with cosmetic procedures – that’s why she doesn’t intend to go under the knife.

Jodie Foster, 61, is the star who has appeared on the silver screen since childhood.

Already early in her childhood, she had roles in several commercials and Disney films. As a teenager, she began to get roles in films, including in the classic “Taxi Driver”, where she plays a young prostitute at only 14 years old.

The big breakthrough came in 1991 when she played agent Clarice Starling in the blockbuster ” When the lambs fall silent “. There she played against, among others, Anthony Hopkins.

Since then, her career has flourished and she has played roles in numerous films and TV series, but also directed several pieces, including episodes from ” House of Cards ” and ” Black Mirror “.

Most recently, Jodie Foster has been relevant in the biographical film ” Nyad “, where she plays the swimming coach of Diana Nyad, who will swim from Cuba to Florida. Jodie is also current with the TV series ” True Detective “, where she plays a police officer.

Life outside the career

Off the silver screen, Jodie, real Alicia, grew up with her mother Brandy and her partner Josephine. The future movie star’s father allegedly disappeared from the family’s life even before she was born. She is said to have received the nickname “Jodie” from her  siblings , who decided to call her after the bonus mother’s initials, “Jo D”.

Foster was for many years one of Hollywood’s most private actors, and it wasn’t until in a speech at the Golden Globes in 2013 that she chose to get really personal. Then Foster confirmed that she had previously lived with film producer Cydney Bernard, ten years her senior  . It is also with her ex-partner that Jodie has two sons, born in 1998 and 2001. However, the biological father is unknown.

Since 2014, Jodie Foster is married to actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison, 54. They live together in Manhattan with Jodie’s sons.

That’s why Jodie Foster refuses cosmetic surgery

Among movie stars and celebrities, it is not uncommon to rejuvenate their appearance with the help of cosmetic surgery. However, it is not something that Jodie Foster wants to do.

” Well, that’s not my thing. I don’t mind it for other people. Whatever they want to do, I don’t mind. For me, it’s really a self-image thing. I’d rather someone say ‘Wow, that girl has an ugly nose’ than ‘Wow, that girl has had an ugly nose job,’ ” Jodie has previously said in an interview with More Magazine and continues:

” I’d rather have a comment about who I am than something that identifies me as someone who is ashamed of who I am.”

And there is no doubt that the star is living her best life. She is satisfied with her career and looks forward to new challenges.

– I have been in the industry for 58 years. Some things I’ve already done, I don’t want to repeat. It could be stories I’ve already told. I’m really surprised that at 60 I’m happier than I’ve ever been, says Jodie Foster in a new interview with Aftonbladet .
