For the most part, Brad Pitt has refrained from commenting on the situation with his kids with Angelina Jolie, and for the record, I’m not trying to say that glowingly or anything. I’m just giving the lay of the land. So it’s significant that a “source close to Pitt” — a.k.a. his PR team — has gone to the official celebrity outfit of choice to comment on Shiloh ditching his last name. Granted, it’s not like they attack the poor kid, but there is definitely a layer of shaming as we’re told that Brad is “upset” and that he’s “lost his children.” That’s the closest we’ve ever gotten to an official confirmation that he’s been cut off. Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez are best friends again, which is news to me because I didn’t know they weren’t for a spell. (Celebitchy)

I kept forgetting to post this story that I had tucked away in my little goodie bag of links, but I know a lot of you are dog owners, so I wanted to get your read. In a nutshell, a woman took her dog to a shelter to be euthanized after it had a myriad of health issues. However, a year later, she discovered her dog very much alive on a rescue adoption site. Was this just a fluke accident? Something shady on the owner’s side? Something shady on the shelter’s side? I’m genuinely curious and have no inclination either way. (AP News)

If you ever got spammed by right-wingers who touted 2,000 Mules as proof that the 2020 election was rigged, get ready to laugh real hard. (NPR)

Zack Snyder is reportedly making a 300 prequel series for Warner Bros., which is an interesting development considering how much he claimed the studio hated him while crowing about how much happier he was making Rebel Moon for Netflix. I’m not a betting man, but I’d put good money on calling a time of death for that franchise. (The Wrap)

I love how Donald Trump has become the first U.S. president to be convicted of a felony, and people are out here taking swings at Wine Moms and Hillary Clinton for being right. Adorable stuff. (The Cut)

R.I.P. Scott Wampler. You lived a rich life if Stephen King is mourning your passing. Our best to his friends and loved ones. (Deadline)

Happy Pride Month! Cannonball Read celebrates the LGBTQ+ community through books (it’s how they celebrate everything!), and if you are looking for book recommendations, they can help with that. BlackRaven has probably reviewed an age-appropriate book for kids and lots of people have reviewed Seanan McGuire. But there are also reviews of less well-known authors like Chencia C. Higgens (romance), Lee Mandelo (horror), and Isle McElroy (litfic). Which books are you recommending for Pride Month?
