Pedro Pascal is all set to return to the big screens through Gladiator 2, the buzz around him playing Marcus Acacius couldn’t be louder. A powerful Roman general, Marcus’ history takes him back to the days when Maximus still existed, since he was the one who trained Marcus. And yet, it doesn’t stop Lucius, son of Maximus, from giving Marcus a hard time.

This is evident from all the brutality shown in the trailer of Ridley Scott’s sequel to his all-time best Gladiator (2000). But while Pascal has previously worked on gruesome pieces like the Game of Thrones, the blows he took in this particular project from Mescal – he quite literally got his a** beat – seem to have hit him hard enough to say that he will never talk to Scott ever again!

“I hate all of you”: Pedro Pascal After Paul Mescal Beat Him Up

If fans who have seen Pedro Pascal in Game of Thrones are expecting to see a similar brutal image of him in the Gladiator sequel, they really need to brace themselves because they’re in for a surprise. This is because, while the actor did get beat up, this time around, it was brutal enough for him to get mad at the people who helped craft the scenes where he gets his “a** kicked.”

In a behind-the-scenes clip shared by @GladiatorMovie on X, Pascal can be seen having to go through all the excruciating pain as Mescal’s Lucius, son of Maximus, beat him up bad enough to have him gasping for breath as everyone else laughed at his comical situation. In fact, the drama king is even seen saying breathlessly to Scott, “I hate all of you, I’ll never speak to you again.”

As hilarious as this was, Ridley Scott went on to jokingly comment about the scene where the black-eyed The Last of Us actor gets hammered by Mescal. Making everything even more uproarious, the filmmaker, while wheezing through his laughter as he took in Pascal’s battered condition after the fight, commented, “That move in there is friggin’ perfect.”

Meanwhile, it seems like The Mandalorian actor will take longer to heal from the pain Paul Mescal inflicted on him during the barbaric battle they fought in the movie.

This was evident in an interview afterward, where Pascal was seen holding his shoulder as he carried himself behind the cameras. When asked if he was okay, his honest response was, “No… I got beat up by Paul Mescal!”

So, Pascal actually got his a** whooped by Mescal? Well, it most certainly seems like it. And as comical as this is, fans are loving the 49-year-old actor all the more for it.
