The Duke of Sussex has had a fractious relationship with other members of the Royal Family since moving to the United States but recently there has been speculation about a possible return to the UK
Prince Harry has “no interest” in returning to the UK, according to sources.
Despite recent rumours it appears as though he has no plans to turn his back on the United States and make a bid to get back in the fold with a return to royal duties.
The Duke of Sussex’s relationship with the Royal Family has been strained in recent years especially due to his criticism of life in the UK while talking to the US media. He has given several explosive interviews, including with Oprah Winfrey, as well as a Netflix series and his memoir Spare, which made for uncomfortable reading for senior royals.
King Charles is believed to be more open to reconciliation than William and met with his younger son when he flew over to see him following his cancer diagnosis. But William harbours deep reservations about his brother’s return to royal duties and is said to feel betrayed.

And people close to Harry have said that he is not thinking of bringing his family back to the UK any time soon with them settled in Montecito, California. Sources have revealed Harry is focused on his future in the United States and has “no interest” in resuming his former royal responsibilities, according to the Telegraph.
The Duke of Sussex, along with Meghan, stepped down as senior working members of the Royal Family in 2020 before eventually relocating in California. Speculation surrounding a potential return to the UK has been fuelled by the upcoming paperback release of Harry’s best-selling memoir where he is not expected to divulge the same level of bombshell details.
But Telegraph sources firmly deny this interpretation and that Harry’s decision to forgo adding new material or controversial content in the paperback edition of Spare is a deliberate choice to avoid further scrutiny and protect the Royal Family from additional backlash.
Michael Cole, a former BBC royal correspondent, recently suggested his second release of Spare might serve as an olive branch to the Royal Family, possibly signalling his interest in smaller royal duties. He told GB News: “According to pals in Britain, he wants to improve his image on this side of the Atlantic so that he can come here more often.
“Apparently he even has thoughts of performing minor royal duties. I think the chances of that are between slim and none. It apparently seems to be his purpose. He has got friends over here. Maybe he renewed his acquaintance with them when he went to his uncle’s funeral.”
