Ever since the controversy regarding Dragon Age: The Veilguard started, fans have been claiming that Sweet Baby Inc. worked on the title and has plagued it with forced DE&I.
The consultant has been under some serious fire for ruining games, but its former employee has revealed that studios are the ones that approach Sweet Baby, not the other way around.
Fans have claimed that the consultancy company is behind all the ‘woke things’ in the latest Dragon Age game. However, the former narrative director has claimed that the company didn’t even work on this title.
Why it matters: Dragon Age: The Veilguard seems to have a lot of inclusivity and diversity, which fans have highly criticised. Due to that, the game’s user score has dropped to 2.5 on Metacritic.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Has Been Receiving A Lot of Hate For ‘Woke Content‘
Sweet Baby Inc. has arguably received a lot of hate due to the latest Dragon Age game, even though it wasn’t even involved. Many fans have claimed that the consultancy company orchestrates the game’s forced agenda.
I would have loved to work on Dragon Age: The Veilguard. That series is great. But no, we did not work on Dragon Age.
-Grant Roberts
While the former narrative director would have loved to work on the game, he didn’t. So, it seems like a lot of misinformation was spread online, which Roberts explains is nothing new.
He further says that there are many games that Sweet Baby didn’t work on but still receives hate for.
Roberts’ claims seem to make sense. However, there have been many moments where Sweet Baby’s actions started the controversy, like one of its employees stating the company’s main goal is to burn the gaming industry down.
