28 years after JonBenét’s d3ath, Burke Ramsey lives behind drawn curtains in a quiet Michigan suburb — a man frozen in time. Neighbors say the 37-year-old still speaks to his sister’s photo every night in the dim light of the basement where the tragedy began. But last month, police confirmed the discovery of a 90-second VHS clip—Burke’s childhood home video—showing him whispering her name long after she was gone.

Right, where is Burke Ramsey now? The brother of Cold Case subject JonBenét Ramsey
He’s been able to live a ‘quiet’ life after he sued CBS for saying he was involved in JonBenét’s death
Right now, the most watched documentary on Netflix is Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey. The story is mainly told by JonBenét’s father, John Ramsey. With her father being the face of the show, many people have been wondering where her brother, Burke Ramsey, is now.
JonBenét Ramsey went missing in 1996, and her family found a sickening ransom note in their home when they awoke. Her father, John Ramsey, then discovered six-year-old JonBenét’s body in the basement, and it was later revealed she had been sexually assaulted and brutally murdered in the family home.
The case remains unsolved to this day. However, there have been a number of theories surrounding what may have happened. At the time, Burke Ramsey was nine-years-old.
So, here’s the latest on what we know about Burke Ramsey, the brother of JonBenét Ramsey.

Burke Ramsey refused to take part in the Netflix documentary about his sister’s death
Despite his father taking part, Burke Ramsey refused to be interviewed by Netflix for the three-part documentary about the case. It was explained on the show he didn’t want to take part because of what people online have said about him in regards to his sister’s death.
In 2016, CBS aired a primetime special that speculated Burke Ramsey may have killed JonBenét. Burke sued the show and its producers for defamation, to the sum of $750million. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed sum. A source has since said it was settled for “a small fraction” of the original sum.
Burke told Netflix that because of how he had previously been treated by the media, and online “web sleuths” such as people posting on Reddit, he didn’t want to be interviewed.
So, where is he now?

Despite not wanting to be interviewed by Netflix, Burke Ramsey has spoken out in the past. He had a 2016 sit down interview with Dr Phil, which was the only time he’s spoken about the case in public.
Speaking of the aftermath, Burke said: “My dad told me JonBenét is in heaven now, and he started crying, then I started crying. I was kind of like, ‘How is this possible?’ I started crying, I don’t think I said anything, I didn’t believe it at first.” When asked why he had waited 20 years to speak out, he said: “I want to honour her memory by doing this interview. I don’t want anyone to forget.”
Burke Ramsey is said to have been able to live a “quite, private life” using the sum he received after he sued CBS. He currently lives in Michigan, and works as a software engineer at a tech company. He is also apparently happily dating someone.
Speaking of Burke’s life since the death of his sister, a family member told US Weekly: “Is Burke happy? He’s as happy as he can be, given the circumstances. He’s productive, he’s moving past all the trauma and living the best way he can. That’s all you can expect.”
The insider continued: “He doesn’t read anything about the case, doesn’t watch anything about it. If he sees a show about it, he changes the channel. He’s not the least bit interested in watching any of the documentaries. He’s not going to watch [the Netflix] one. Absolutely not. It’s triggering to him, and there’s no benefit for him.”
