Officers had been called to a burglary, and there were signs of forced entry, Tipp City Police Chief Greg Adkins told WHIO-TV, calling it a suspected burglary gone wrong.
She was “murdered in her home,” her pastor, Jordan Hansen of Dayton’s Christian Life Center, said in tribute to the “beloved member of our church, devoted servant of Jesus, and wife, mom, daughter.”
Police immediately sealed off the surrounding area and searched with drones and K-9s, but “no suspects were located,” police said.
The mom was a teacher at Lifewise Academy and also a volleyball coach for the Tippecanoe Middle School.
