Some congratulations are in order for Slim Shady! Eminem has officially welcomed his first grandchild, according to a post from his daughter, Hailie Jade. The “Lose Yourself” hitmaker’s daughter welcomed a baby boy just a few weeks ago with her husband Evan McClintock. The baby is named Elliot Marshal McClintock.
Clock those initials: “EM&M”. That’s such a sweet way to honor her dad, and it doesn’t stop there. Not only do the initials reference her father’s stage name, but the baby’s middle name is also Eminem’s real first name, Marshall.
Hailie posted two very cute photos to Instagram today with the caption “happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e”. In the photos, a board behind the child notes his full name, as well as his presumed birthdate of March 14, 2025.
Love is really pouring out from Eminem’s fans and a few family members, too.
“The name couldn’t be more perfect,” said one fan in the comments of the Instagram post.
“Bro has the coolest grandpa,” said another.
“You guys are going to be amazing parents!” said a Mathers family member. “And Elliot will have the best uncle and grandpa!”
The Birth of Eminem’s Grandchild Comes After He Released a Heartfelt Music Video Dedicated to His Pregnant Daughter
We can imagine this is quite a big deal for Eminem, considering little Elliot is his first grandchild.
Shortly after Hailie told her father of her pregnancy, Eminem did what he does best: He wrote a song about it. The emotional track “Temporary”, along with a music video, was released just a few months ago. In the music video, Hailie gives Eminem a Detroit Lions jersey with the word “grandpa” embroidered on the back. The video is also full of home footage of Eminem and Hailie when she was a child.

Hailie and her husband Evan began dating back in 2016 after meeting at college. They were married last May.
Eminem’s most recent record The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) was released last year as well. I can only imagine he’ll have quite a bit of inspiration for his next release, whenever (and if ever) that comes around.
