When will ‘Heartland’ Seasons 18-19 be on Netflix?
Netflix in most regions still carries the show and picks up new seasons every year – here’s when the newer seasons are expected where you live.

Heartland is one of the sneaky hits within the Netflix library. Year after year, it generates lots of viewership, which is helped quite a bit by the fact that the show is now heading into its 19th season and has over 260 episodes under its belt. The show is set to return with season 19 later this year, but when are new seasons coming to Netflix? Here’s the latest release schedule.
For those who have never seen the show before, Heartland is a long-running family drama set in Alberta, Canada, following the Fleming-Bartlett family as they navigate life, love, and the challenges of running a horse ranch. On the air since 2007, the more recent seasons of Heartland star Amber Marshall as Amy Fleming, Michelle Morgan as Lou Fleming Morris, Shaun Johnston as Jack Bartlett, Chris Potter as Tim Fleming, and Jessica Steen as Lisa Stillman, with supporting roles from Kerry James, Baye McPherson, and Ruby and Emmanuella Spencer as Lyndy.
How well does Heartland perform on Netflix? According to the Netflix Engagement Reports, all seasons of the show, between 2023 and mid-2025, have garnered 695.2 million hours of global viewing.

When will Heartland Seasons 18-19 join Netflix in the United States?
As mentioned, Netflix US recently experienced a scare for Heartland. The series was due to be removed in full in August 2025 over the Summer, although a last-minute deal kept it streaming, and season 17 finally joined the service in September. Our understanding is that Netflix has renewed the license for Heartland in the US for at least three years through 2028 at a minimum. Netflix declined to comment. So, when will season 18 be on Netflix? You have to wait quite some time for new seasons to drop after their initial airing. That’s because in the US, Netflix doesn’t have the first-run rights, as they have been held by UP Faith and Family for the past few years. Season 18 came to an end this Summer on their platform, meaning season 18 won’t be on Netflix until at least mid-2026.
Moving on to Season 19, assuming Netflix eventually acquires the show, you’ll likely be waiting until 2027. Season 19 is expected to follow suit, although confirmation hasn’t been received yet regarding the exact release date.
A representative for UP Faith and Family so far has said, “All current seasons of Heartland (up to Season 18) are currently available to stream on UP Faith & Family! Please monitor our social media pages for an announcement on when Season 19 will premiere on our service.”
Typically, they keep the show exclusively in the United States for a year before it becomes available on Netflix, so expect a release date sometime in mid-2027.

When will season 19 of Heartland join Netflix in international territories?
In the majority of countries outside the United States, you now have access to seasons 7 through 18, with that most recent season touching down this Summer. You get the series the fastest, although you will still have to wait until after Season 19 completes its run on CBC.
As it stands, Season 19 is set to return for another 10 episodes, beginning October 5, 2025, and running through to December. Given it’s returning to its normal slot, we’d expect season 19 to join Netflix in international regions like the United Kingdom, Australia, Latin America, Asia and India.
The main exception is Netflix Canada, which has to wait the longest for new seasons, with only seasons 8 through 15 currently showing.
Additionally, we should note that Netflix will soon have its own Heartland. Announced in early September, Netflix is working on a new movie starring Jessica Chastain and Carter Faith. The movie has absolutely no connection to the CBC series, though.
