Well, nobody wants that.

Erin Foster was worried she’d get divorced over her new Netflix rom-com series “Nobody Wants This,” which stars Adam Brody and Kristen Bell.

“When I met Simon, and kind of settled into this healthy relationship, I was in the process of converting to Judaism,” Foster, 42, recalled during a recent appearance on the “LadyGang” podcast.

Thinking that her romance with husband Simon Tikhman, 40, would be an interesting show idea, she decided to sell it to 20th Century Fox.

Telling her partner that she sold a show about the two of them meeting and his family not liking her, Tikhman said: “You can’t write about my family.”

“Really?” one of the “LadyGang” members said, surprised by the revelation. Foster then admitted that she believed the show would affect her relationship.

“I don’t want to do this,” she recalled telling herself. “It’s gonna get me divorced!”

In a panic, Foster then called her father-in-law, telling him, “I just want to be honest with you, I sold this show…the concept of the show is…”

His response? “Just don’t make us look poor.”

The final episode ended on a cliffhanger as Netflix just renewed the series for a Season 2. The news was announced at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in LA by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria on Thursday.

Creating ‘Nobody Wants This’ will forever be a career highlight for me. The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed,” Foster said in a statement.

“I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since ‘Girls’… Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”

Joining Season 2 includes Konner and Kaplan as executive Producers and showrunners. Nora Silver will also be an executive producer for the upcoming season.

“It’s a dream to be working on ‘Nobody Wants This.’ Erin is the rare creator with a crystal clear voice and a genuinely collaborative spirit,” Konner told Netflix. “I am a true fan of Erin’s show and also feel so lucky to be back in a room with two of my favorites, Bruce Kaplan and Sarah Heyward from ‘Girls.’”

Kaplan is excited to join the rom-com family, saying the show “is such a unique and beautiful show and I am already having the best time working on it.”

“The conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season 2,” Foster told IndieWire last month. “The story in Season 1 unfolds really slowly. So I think if there is a Season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves.”

Though the details in “Nobody Wants This” aren’t exactly real-life events, the emotions surrounding Foster’s experience remain the same.

Just like the show’s Joanne, a sex-positive podcast host played by Bell, Foster fell in love with Tikhman. Though she didn’t grow up Jewish — and he’s not a rabbi like Brody’s Noah — Foster converted to Judaism prior to marrying her husband in 2019.

Foster grew up in a nonreligious home while Tikhman is dedicated to Judaism and wants to pass the religion along to his daughter, Noa, according to reports.

“We didn’t come from similar backgrounds,” Foster said on her podcast with her sister, Sara Foster. “He came from a much more traditional place. I came from a more unconventional place. When we got together we were like, ‘How’s this gonna work?’” (The siblings are the daughters of record producer David Foster.)

One notable comparison between the show and Erin’s real life is how the pair met each other’s families. In episode 6, Noah meets Joanne’s mom in gym attire while carrying sunflowers, giving Joanne the “ick.”

In actuality, Tikhman did bring sunflowers for Erin’s mother, which made her worry he cared too much.
