“Love Is Blind” couple Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton discuss their fertility journey for the first time. In the new episode of their podcast, Cameron claims that people often question them, “When are you going to have a baby?” Lauren adds how it is a difficult conversation for her before they talk about their fertility struggles and their effects on their marriage. She then discloses that it has made them “more connected” and “stronger” as a couple. They further candidly discussed their IVF journey in a conversation they had never had before.
Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton dropped the second episode of their podcast, “The Love Seat,” on October 23. Their new podcast premiered earlier this month.
‘Love Is Blind’ couple Cameron and Lauren Speed-Hamilton open up about their fertility journey
“Love Is Blind” couple Lauren Speed-Hamilton mentions that she and Cameron Hamilton have never openly talked about their fertility journey before. Lauren reveals, “This conversation is not the easiest” for her. She admits that despite her penchant for sharing things, “this is one that’s still kind of tough.” Nonetheless, she feels it’s “important to talk about it” to be able to “see yourself in the conversation that we’re about to have.”
Cameron then asks Lauren, “How do you think our fertility journey has affected us as a couple?” In a heartwarming response, she tells him their IVF journey has made them “feel more connected.” Lauren continues, “I think we support each other, we’re more in tune now.” She also addresses how going through something “big and heavy” often ends up creating a bond in a relationship. Finally, the 36-year-old concludes by saying their journey has made them “stronger” as a couple.
Cameron says he agrees with Lauren and offers an emotional insight into their fertility journey. He discusses their experience with in vitro fertilization (IVF), revealing that it was not something his wife wanted. He explains that Lauren took “medications” and “daily shots” throughout the process and calls it “a new level of love” as he almost breaks into tears.
Lauren and Cameron Hamilton met during the first season of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” and married afterward.
