Britney Spears has posted on Instagram about her late grandfather June Spears Sr – who had two of his wives institutionalized.

The 42-year-old pop star recently sparked fears for her own mental health after medics were seen escorting her, disheveled and partly dressed, out of the Chateau Marmont in the small hours of the morning.

Less than three years ago, she was freed from her controversial conservatorship, which began when her father Jamie Spears was placed in control of her life after her infamous mental breakdown in 2008.

This Saturday, Britney looked back on her memories with Jamie’s father, her grandfather June, who died in 2012 at the age of 82.

‘Older man never had one !!! My grandpa passed away when I was 28 !!! I have always worked for my family because it’s all I’ve ever known !!!’ she wrote.

‘The past two men I dated sent me list of things their children wanted and they wanted me to buy them !!! I wonder what it would have been like to feel like parents have their whole lives being taken care of !!!’ Britney added.

Her haunting message was accompanied by a throwback picture of herself in the pool with June and a child who appeared to be one of Britney’s sons.

Britney welcomed both of her children – Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17 – with her second of three ex-husbands, Kevin Federline.

Last year, Britney published her harrowing memoir The Woman In Me that included a disturbing remembrance of her late grandfather June.

June had his first two wives confined to an asylum, including Britney’s grandmother Jean, who ultimately committed suicide at the grave of a son she lost in infancy.

While she was in the psychiatric hospital, Jean was put on lithium, which Britney was also prescribed decades later during her own mental health woes.

Britney claimed June, a Baton Rouge cop, forced his son Jamie to ‘exercise long past the point of exhaustion’ – and that Jamie then replicated this pattern with Britney.

As a result, Britney was filled with foreboding when she was eventually placed under Jamie’s conservatorship after her own mental breakdown.

‘Thinking back on the way my father was raised by June and the way I was brought up by him, I had known from the jump that it would be an actual nightmare to have him in charge,’ Britney recalled in her memoir.

Even more hauntingly, she alleged: ‘One of my father’s half sisters has said that June sexually abused her starting when she was eleven, until she ran away at sixteen.’

Last week, Britney sparked concerns among her fans when she injured her ankle during a tumultuous visit to the LA hotel on May 2, while with her boyfriend Paul Soliz.

Sources told DailyMail.com that she hurt herself while doing cartwheels outside of her hotel room.

The post comes six days after Britney sparked concerns among her fans when she injured her ankle during a tumultuous visit to LA’s Chateau Marmont hotel with her boyfriend Paul Soliz

The singer sparked fears that she was spiralling into a mental breakdown when she was pictured wearing nothing but a blanket and underwear while clutching a pillow as she was escorted out of the celebrity hotspot by paramedics in the early hours.

She later shared pictures of her swollen foot on Instagram, insisting she was not in the midst of an episode, as she accused her own mother Lynne Spears, 60, of a ‘set up.’

‘I know my mom was involved !!! I haven’t talked to her in 6 months and she called right after it happened before the news being out !!!’ the Toxic hitmaker wrote.

Insiders claimed Lynne was behind the 911 call and had asked her daughter if she was ‘mentally fine’ just minutes before.

‘Britney was crying in pain and she called Lynne in Louisiana to tell her what had happened,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘At the time, Lynne was the only one who knew that she had hurt herself.

‘Lynne asked Britney if she was OK mentally and Britney told her mom that she was fine and it was just her ankle.

‘Lynne called 911 and told them that Britney was having a breakdown and had injured herself. She knew that Britney was in a traumatized state.’

The estranged duo had recently reconnected following the end of Britney’s conservatorship battle with her father Jamie Spears, 71, and the finalization of her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari, 30.

Photographs taken the night of the incident showed the disheveled-looking pop star, barefoot and draped in a blanket – reminiscent of her famous 2008 breakdown that landed her in an involuntary 5150 hold and ultimately led to her 13-year conservatorship.

Explaining her attire, the insider insisted it had nothing to do with her mental state.

‘When the ambulance arrived at the Chateau, they went directly to Britney’s room and told her that they needed to make sure that she was OK after someone had called the paramedics,’ they said.

‘When Britney looked out, she saw the ambulance and the gurney and she flipped out. She had a severe panic attack because seeing a gurney for her is traumatizing, for obvious reasons.

‘Britney then grabbed a blanket and a pillow, leaving her belongings at the hotel. She did not have shoes on because her ankle was injured. She was not going to get in an ambulance and was not about to get checked out by them for an injured ankle.’

According to the source, the Toxic singer – who was at the hotel with her ‘felon boyfriend’ Paul – was determined to flee.

The source continued: ‘She said, ‘I am getting the f***k out of here.’ She walked past the ambulance and got into a ride that was waiting for her out front.

‘She did not return to the Chateau.’

Britney rubbished claims she had suffered a mental breakdown on Instagram – and posted a video of her swollen ankle.

‘Okay guys, so you know, I really twisted my ankle last night,’ she said. ‘It’s so bad. Idiot right here tried to do a leap in the living room at the Chateau and I fell and embarrassed myself and that’s it.’

It was later claimed she had been doing cartwheels while drinking alcohol.

‘Paramedics came to the door illegally and caused this huge scene and it was so unnecessary and all I needed was ice,’ she said.

The Oops I Did It Again singer started crying and added: ‘It is pretty mad but s***t happens.’

Ina video – which was a close up of her swollen foot – Britney said that ‘it’s a little bigger together,’ adding that it was ‘really swollen.’

‘My foot is so big right now,’ as she pointed out her other foot in comparison, adding she wears 6.5 in shoes.

‘My feet are so ugly,’ she said in the clip.

She deleted it but re-posted it hours later.

‘As Pink says, ‘Embracing the fall’ !!! Fallen angel, that’s SO FUNNY RIGHT ??? Well, I’ve been reading a lot of spiritual books lately…. and one was talking about how you can go back in time and also two parallel universes in a paradox where you can cross over and meet another person on a different dimension,’ she said.

Adding: ‘There are definitely levels of each dimension!!! I believe all this because I do believe there was one time in my life where my level of existence was pretty vast and sharp!!!

Her afternoon rants came after her father Jamie Spears, 71, filed paperwork for summary judgment in regards to financial objections, per People.

Jamie wants a summary judgement regarding his daughter’s objections – which are payment of storage space rent and investment valuation differences as well as Tri Star Sports & Entertainment accounting compensation –  as well as payment for the attorneys, and compensation to Tri Star Sports & Entertainment, per the outlet.

The purpose of the paperwork is to avoid heading to trial, which is already scheduled for May 13, 2024.

Jamie is seeking the judge to overule Britney’s objections and removed the trial date.
