Inside Clint Eastwood’s secrets to good health at 93 as fans stunned by Hollywood icon’s ‘zest for life’

Clint’s age was the conversation of discussion of the March 24 photos as fans quickly remarked how the 93-year-old the legend is looking healthy and does look to be stopping anytime soon. He was spotted with slightly longer locks, a full beard while wearing dark pants, a green multicolored button-up flannel and a grey jacket on top.

Before being spotted at the event which took place at the Sunset Cultural Centre in his hometown Carmel-by-the-Sea, California where he spoke to Jane, he was seen five months ago filming Juror No. 2.

In November 2023, the filmmaker was seen on the Georgia set on the upcoming courtroom thriller. He was smiling behind the camera amongst his crew members. Juror No. 2. The thriller is set to have Nicholas Hoult, Toni Colette and Chris Messina as some of the stars to lead the film.

This is Clint’s first film since his 2021 film Cry Macho, which he directed and starred in himself. The Dirty Harry actor who turns 94 next month shows no sign of slowing down and many are wondering how does he do it. In an Audacy’s Superstar Power Hour in Dec 2023, the late country singer Toby Keith opened up about how his single Don’t Let The Old Man In and how Clint inspired it.

“I’m Clint Eastwood’s partner at his golf tournament. He’s 93 this year, by the way,” Toby shared with the radio show. “Several years ago at the first event I played with him… I [asked], ‘What keeps you going at your age?’ He said, ‘I try to get up every day and be productive — not let that old man in.’”
For Clint, being fit and healthy is something that has been in his life since he was a teen. He shared in a 1991 Muscle & Fitness (available to read on Physical Culture Study) that he had been doing manual labor which preferred as a teenager with jobs such as a hay baler and lumberjack. He also started lifting weights at 19.

The Hollywood icon turns 94 on May 31.

His personal doctor, Dr. Harry Demopoulos talked about Eastwood’s health at the time stating, “He is in superb condition, He never eats fat, he takes his antioxidants faithfully, works out like a demon, and gets plenty of sleep, which is an area that is often neglected in a fitness program. When we pit him against a stress test machine, Clint wins. He has become almost superhuman. His strength is amazing.”

The article goes on to details Eastwood’s diet saying he maintains a low-fat, high protein diet and pays close attention to his cholesterol levels. Clint’s father who was a meat and potatoes man, died of cardiovascular disease at a young age.

Clint’s son, fellow actor Scott Eastwood shared in an interview with Men’s Health in 2017 that his father inspired his own fitness and health. “My dad is a machine about exercise. He showed me how to lift when I was 14 or 15 – he told me what to do, gave me some advice, then left me to do it on my own,” Scott told the outlet.

Scott went on to detail his father’s diet which is something he’s co-opted as well. “My dad does not eat for pleasure,” He continued “He eats salmon and brown rice for breakfast. I guess I’m the same way. If I could take a pill that gave me all the right nutrients so I could give up food, I would.”
