Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), as he returns to the police force.

Elliot joined a new task force to tackle the powerful crime syndicates, but his cases seem to be getting deeply personal for him.

According to the Change.org petition, there are more than 1,000 signatures from loyal followers.

In the comments section, viewers claimed they would be heartbroken if the program got axed after four seasons.

“It’s far superior to SVU at this point,” one person said.

“Signed! I would be very crushed if it’s not renewed,” another fan pleaded.

“I really hope it gets renewed! I only actually watch the other two weekly because I look forward to this one!” a third wrote.

“Maybe Peacock will have [Organized Crime] exclusively on there! I hope somebody comes up with something to save the show!” a commentator chimed referring to the streaming platform.

Fans have been waiting since late March if the crime drama would be renewed for Season 5.

At the time, Deadline reported the NBC network renewed the Law & Order mainstay for Season 24 and granted a return for Law & Order: SVU with Season 26.

Doubts about a renewal have plagued Organized Crime due to its troubled production history.

The drama ran through a number of showrunners over its course.

In October 2020, Matt Olmstead started as the first showrunner before getting replaced by Ilene Chaiken.

Ilene was replaced by Barry O’Brien, who did not return for the third season.

After Bryan Goluboff was named showrunner for Season 3 in May 2022, he ditched the TV position about three months later.

Sean Jablonski replaced Bryan but left due to creative differences.

In March 2023, David Graziano replaced Sean but did not stick around for the fourth season.

John Shiban served as the showrunner for Season 4, but it is unclear if he will remain in the same position if the show gets renewed.

In January, Executive Producer Dick Wolf, 77, released a statement about his relationship with the network.

“I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC,” his statement read.

“I’d also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”
