THE landlady of a Scots pub which features in Baby Reindeer told how it has had an influx of fans copying the Netflix hit’s stalker.

Jokers have been going into Edinburgh’s Hoppy boozer and asking for free tea in a nod to deranged Martha Scott from the streaming smash.

Boss Angela Will, 55, said: “We’ve had loads of people wanting pictures.

“We’ve had folk asking for a cup of tea and a Diet Coke, then say they’ve got no money — like Martha.

“Some of our regulars wind us up about a real stalker coming in.”

Baby Reindeer was inspired by creator and star Richard Gadd’s ordeal after he handed out a free cuppa in a London bar.

His random act of kindness led to claims the comic, 34, from Wormit, Fife, was hounded with 41,000 emails, 100 letters and hours of voicemails in an alleged four-year terror campaign.

Angela, who runs the pub with parents Robert and Kathleen Will, both 76, added: “Richard was very, very quiet but a gentleman.

“We didn’t know what the story was about but if we knew then, you’d feel so sorry for him.”

Hoppy staff were spooked after a woman the spitting image of English actress Jessica Gunning, 38, who plays Martha, walked in.

Angela said: “I thought, ‘This is a wind up’. I honestly thought I was on some hidden camera show.”

“But she was lovely and said her pals told her to come in for a laugh.”
Angela also revealed that she treated the English film crew to classic Scots fare during their two days filming at the Lochend bar.

She said “Part of the deal was I had to feed them bacon rolls. But they’d never tried stovies. They loved it that much they took it away on the train.”

Scots Fiona Harvey, 58 — on whom Martha was reportedly based — appeared on Piers Morgan’s YouTube chat show last week to deny stalking Gadd.

She’s threatened to sue Netflix.
