Prime Video has a certified hit on their hands with Reacher. Based on Lee Child’s popular book series, the show follows a former military policeman who sustains his life as a nomad by solving mysteries wherever he goes.
It’s both action-packed and filled with intrigue, the perfect combination to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Now that the show is done with its second season (with a third currently filming), Reacher fans will likely binge through the available episodes, then have to deal with the inevitable pause between seasons. To fill the rest of your time, you’ll have to branch out and find more shows to fill the Reacher void.
So what makes a good Reacher alternative? Well, the show incorporates elements of detective shows and action thrillers, which are the foundations of popular television. If there’s a good mystery or heart-racing drama, viewers will likely watch. It’s the successful recipe that made shows like 24, Justified, and Bosch so successful, and it’s how Reacher has found instant success on Prime Video.
Once you finish watching Reacher Season 2–either watching weekly or binging once all the episodes are out–there’s a whole world of great television out there ready to keep you busy until Season 3 hits streaming services sometime in the future. And who knows, you may even find a new ongoing show to stay on top of, in addition to Reacher of course.
Here are a number of shows we recommend that are similar to Reacher.
