Throughout season 26 of The Voice,  Michael Bublé looked to build the perfect team from the plethora of singers who took the stage. But outside of coaching his singers and helping them make it into the next round, the singer also competed against other coaches like Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Snoop Dogg. Going into the finale, Bublé watched as two members of his team, Shye and Sofronio Vasquez, had a chance of winning. And in the end, The Voice crowned Vasquez as the latest winner. Thrilled about the win and the bright future for Vasquez, Bublé offered an apology to the season 27 coaches.

While just ending season 26 of The Voice on Tuesday, Bublé was already looking ahead to next season. And besides a new lineup of singers, the show looked to welcome stars like Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, and John Legend. Although a mix of both new and old coaches, Bublé didn’t seem all that worried about continuing his winning streak.

Speaking with Access Hollywood after winning season 26, Bublé not only praised Vasquez for his determination and commitment to his craft but to the coaches of season 27. He said, “Let me just say right now. I would like to apologize to the cast of season 27, Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, and John Legend. Because I’m going to be a pain in your butt now. Cause you know I’m already a pain in the butt. And I love them by the way. But now they’re going to be like, ‘Oh my God, this dude doesn’t shut up about it.’”

Michael Bublé Kept His Promise To His Team On ‘The Voice’

Walking alongside the contestants each week, Bublé explained how much he loved the job and how he approached being a coach. He told People, “I tried to have the greatest singers choose me and I promised them that if they chose me, I would be there for them, I would help guide them, I’d advocate for them and I’ve done that.”

With Bublé keeping his word to support his team, he apparently talked to Vasquez about the chances of not winning and the future. “I just called him and said, ‘My brother, God has a plan for you, and I don’t know if that plan is to win The Voice, but if it isn’t then there is a plan to do it another way. And I will be there with you man. I’ll be there, behind you, supporting you.’ And I’m glad that this was the choice the Lord made for him.”
