Myleene Klass shared a series of heartbreaking photos from when she suffered miscarriages as she continues to fight for paid bereavement leave.
The TV presenter, 46, is working with MP Sarah Owen, MP Olivia Blake, Miscarriage Association, and Tommys for a law to be introduced so that women and their partners would be able to take leave.
In an update on Tuesday, Myleene said she had had some ‘promising’ news but urged ministers to vote for it in the Houses Of Parliament.
Photos uploaded to her Instagram detailed her own journey with miscarriage, her bruised tummy from injections and the birth of her son, Apollo, five.
She wrote: ‘It’s just cells…The same cells that stay in your body forever and you in theirs, that change your literal chemistry, your own make up, that break your heart yet keep it beating?
‘BREAKING NEWS. There’s a lot of premature, (albeit exciting) news, that the government have confirmed what we’ve been fighting for, work bereavement leave for those who’ve suffered a miscarriage.’

Myleene continued: ‘Whilst this is something myself, Tommys, Olivia Blake MP, Sarah Owen MP, and Miscarriage Association have pushed for, it CANNOT be confirmed or officialised until ministers VOTE for it in the Houses Of Parliament over the next few days/weeks (remember how I commented ‘Westminster own our wombs’?).
‘Well, things FINALLY look very promising. Please lend your voice and support to Tommys and Miscarriage Association over these next days as we look set to make actual HERSTORY.
‘We have never been closer to getting the women’s healthcare rights we deserve. This is it.’
Myleene then gave details for each photo in the caption.
Last month the presenter and MP Sarah Owen – who have both had miscarriages in the past – appeared on ITV‘s Good Morning Britain to talk about it.
Host Ed Balls explained to viewers at home that one in five miscarriages happen before 24 weeks, so most parents aren’t eligible for paid bereavement leave – and the Women and Equalities Committee want to change that.
They would like a law to be introduced so that women and their partners would be able to take bereavement leave before that time scale.
Myleene, who was entitled to sick leave after her miscarriage, said: ‘This is where the complication comes because you know you need the time off. I actually at the time couldn’t take the time off.

‘There’s a lot of premature news, that the government have confirmed what we’ve been fighting for, work bereavement leave for those who’ve suffered a miscarriage,’ she added
She added: ‘It feels you have to take the option. Whereas bereavement leave, the boundaries of the employee and employer are very clear.
‘This is not the first time this has been muted, which I guess is frustrating. It’s integral to looking after the women and the families mental health.
‘How can you dismiss the loss of a child in the same bracket as someone having a common cold?… just needing to see a GP. There has been a baby loss. That should be acknowledged.’
Myleene fought back the tears on Loose Women last month as they congratulated her on her MBE.
At the start of Wednesday’s episode of the ITV show, Christine Lampard shared the news that she had been given the outstanding achievement.
Myleene explained: ‘It’s for my services to miscarriage.
‘So it feels really important, but because it is that subject matter all that work understandably feels really sad and really heavy.’

Christine praised her highly for the work that she’s doing and said to Myleene: ‘Your work has been amazing.
‘To hear all of these big names, including The King seeing the word miscarriage and know it something you’re working on and that we’re dealing with. It’s fantastic.’
Myleene replied: ‘You’re going to make me cry!’
