Husband of beloved coffee shop owner reveals she sent chilling text hours before vanishing
The search for a Bay Area woman who has been missing for close to a month is intensifying as the husband shared more details to shed light on her case.
Amy Hillyard, 52, co-owner of Farley’s Coffee in San Francisco, was last seen on March 25 walking her dog near the 500 block of Radnor Road in Oakland. Witnesses reported she was wearing a tan top and tan pants at the time of her disappearance.

Her husband Chris Hillyard told media outlets that on the day she went missing, she visited a therapist. She then texted him after she returned from the appointment around 1:40 p.m.
The exact text message wasn’t shared, but Chris said she told him she was home.
Surveillance video showed that shortly after she got home, she took their dog for a walk and also spoke to a neighbor.
When Chris got home around 3:15 p.m., he said all he found was her cellphone, keys and other personal belongings on the kitchen counter, with the back door open.
The family is getting more desperate as the monthlong mark of her missing date approaches. On April 13, the family announced a $10,000 reward for information on her case.
“We truly believe someone out there has seen Amy, may know where she is, or has information that could help bring her home,” Chris said in a statement.
“Despite the tireless efforts of hundreds of volunteers over the past two weeks, we are still searching for answers.”
Her sister, identified only as Alexandra, also has gone public to plead the case for finding Amy.

“I believe that you are out there somewhere, and I pray wherever you are, that you are safe,” she said in a video message addressed to Amy.
Flyers have been updated to reflect the reward, as the Oakland Police Department continues looking. Volunteers as recently as Friday were still launching efforts to conduct searches and spread information.
The Oakland Police Department has said that “there is no evidence to suggest foul play.”
“At present, there is no evidence of abduction, kidnapping, or any other crime associated with her disappearance.”
