The celebrity chef broke his silence on social media

Gino D’Acampo has posted on social media for the first time following allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’. The celebrity chef kept it brief with a succinct message on Instagram.
He reposted a food blogger’s image, who had received a large selection of Gino-branded goodies, captioning it: “Enjoy!!” This comes after last week’s claims that he acted inappropriately towards a woman over a period of five years. An anonymous former colleague, who reportedly worked alongside D’Acampo from 2006 to 2011, filed a complaint with ITV bosses.
This is the first time Gino has been active on social media since the allegations surfaced. The allegation against Gino appears to be influenced by the recent accusations against BBC’s MasterChef host Gregg Wallace, who has temporarily stepped down from his role.

There are whispers that Gino, aged 48, might be facing a gradual phase-out from ITV due to various allegations about his conduct. A source familiar with the complainant shared: “She worked [with Gino] for five years. She has come forward after being spurred on by the Gregg Wallace scandal and the comment he made about his accusers being middle-class women of a certain age,” as reported by The Sun.
An ITV insider explained: “We can’t really comment on anything specific as we have duty of care to any complainant that comes forward”. The celebrity chef, known for his segments on This Morning, is purportedly dropped from the hit series Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip after he allegedly declined to sign a morality clause—a condition mandating adherence to strict conduct guidelines, reports the Mirror.

The Sun received tips alleging that during the production of his new venture with Fred Siriex entitled Emission Impossible, Gino faced accusations of indecent exposure towards crew members, who were afterwards offered counselling. A source shared with the newspaper: “Filming was halted and Gino was put on a training course. He has a sporran which he calls Justin Beaver with which he regularly flashes, some of his humour and antics in 2024 have become increasingly hard to tolerate.”
Despite his regular slot on This Morning, Gino’s appearances have dwindled to just twice this year, while his romance-themed cooking show Cooking Up Love was cancelled after merely two episodes.
Nevertheless, fans can expect to see him back hosting Family Fortunes next year, which is already in the bag. Gino’s latest collaboration with First Dates’ Fred Siriieix takes form in Gino and Fred’s Emission Impossible, where they embark on an eco-friendly escapade.
The duo, along with Gordon Ramsay, enjoyed success until Gino made a shocking announcement in March last year that he would “not film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred Road Trips”, leading to the abrupt end of the hit series. This sparked rumours of a rift between the culinary stars, which were further fuelled when Gino and Fred announced they would be filming a new show together.
Gino initially suggested contract disagreements and behind-the-scenes issues as the reason for his departure from the series with Gordon. It’s worth noting that Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip is produced by Gordon’s production company, Studio Ramsay. However, in a message to fans, Gino insisted there hadn’t been a fallout between the stars.
