The offseason has been a whirlwind of excitement for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld.
Before they tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, Allen won the AP’s Most Valuable Player Award in February. A few months later, the 29-year-old quarterback signed a new six-year, $330 million contract with a record-breaking $250 million guaranteed.
As for Steinfeld, she starred in the movie “Sinners,” which became the highest-grossing original horror movie in domestic box office history.
Before Allen reports to training camp at St. John Fisher University on July 23, however, the famous couple is keeping their schedule low-key with friends. In addition to attending former Bills safety Micah Hyde’s surprise retirement party in San Diego, they helped celebrate Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold‘s engagement to Katie Hoofnagle.
In the most recent issue of her newsletter, Beau Society, Steinfeld named a few places on her vacation dream list, including Japan, Italy, and the Cayman Islands. However, those trips will likely be on hold until next offseason.
In the meantime, she gushed over cooking a new recipe with Allen, cacio e pepe ravioli (from scratch!) and bruschetta. Friday’s issue also featured a Q&A with fans that included a wide range of topics, including the possibility of expanding their family.
Hailee Steinfeld Is ‘Definitely’ Open to Getting a Big Dog With Josh Allen
Before the Oscar-nominated actress met Allen, she was already a mom to two small dogs, Brando and Martini. A fan asked if she’d ever consider getting a big dog, and Steinfeld answered, “Definitely.”
“I grew up with big dogs, and I actually never planned on getting tiny dogs, but here we are! Martini and Brando would love a big dog. My brother has a golden retriever (Dwight!), and they spend a lot of time with him and get along great.”
Steinfeld touched on her love for big dogs back in Issue No. 28. She wrote, “The smallest dog we ever had growing up was a 20-pound golden doodle named Paris and she was the sweetest, but definitely an outlier. So never in a million years did I think I would have a little dog tiny enough to carry around in a shoulder bag — let alone two of them.”
Allen adopted a big dog, a silver lab named Sky, with his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Williams, in 2021. However, she kept the dog following their breakup in April 2023.
As for the Bills star and Steinfeld having kids, it seems to be in the cards one day. Allen told Steinfeld when he proposed in November, “I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please.”
Josh Allen Is Not Exactly Thrilled The Bills’ Training Camp Will Featured On ‘Hard Knocks’
Allen found out that HBO tapped the Bills to be featured on “Hard Knocks” on May 21, his birthday, and just 10 days before his wedding.
“I probably, initially, didn’t react too great to it,” Allen told USA Today Sports. While cameras can be a distraction, Allen is confident his team will remain focused.
“I do think it’s a cool opportunity for people to see some of the great men we have on our team and some of the great women we have in our staff as a whole,” he added.
While significant others play a starring role on Netflix’s “Quarterback” docuseries, it seems unlikely that Steinfeld, who prefers not to be shown on the jumbotron at Bills games, will be featured on the show.
